The Old Spice saga is a seriously daft idea, but written with total sincerity. It is based on using genuine characterisations – normal people – thrown into extremely improbable, if not impossible, situations.
It was supposed to be just a quick, funny story for me to spend a few idle hours on; but, because it was written 'straight-faced', so to speak, it appealed to an awful lot of readers, and has developed a huge following, spread all over the world...
... AND THEY WON'T LET ME STOP WRITING IT!! {*sniffle*}
But let's get one little thing absolutely clear, before you go any further:
Old Spice is not FanFic!
I'm a writer; it's what I do. Old Spice was just a daft idea for a story, and I decided to give it a few hours.
That those few hours turned into God-only-knows how many hours is Not My Fault!
People kept asking for more, so I kept writing more.
